Gray Line West Victoria Captivates Its Audience With New Multilingual Audio Tours
~ New GPS audio tour system introduced in Gray Line West Victoria tour buses~

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (May 12, 2008) – Gray Line West Victoria is introducing a new technologically advanced GPS audio tour system by Audio Conexus in the Gray Line West Victoria Grand City Drive Tour this Thursday, May 15. The new wireless systems is set to enhance the visitors’ experience by broadcasting fun, entertaining, and educational tours in multiple languages simultaneously. Utilizing satellite (GPS) technology, professional actors tell compelling stories to stimulate and connect visitors to the people, places and events that have shaped Victoria’s unique history.

“The new GPS audio tour system allows us to enhance the visitor experience by offering the Grand City Drive Tour in multiple languages” says Raelene Miller, General Manager, Gray Line West Victoria. “Offering the audio tour option adds to our commitment of delivering high-quality, engaging and entertaining tours for visitors from around the world.”

The audio system designed for Gray Line West Victoria is a location based (GPS) triggered, wireless tour solution offering multilingual tour commentary delivered simultaneously to all passengers throughout the Grand City Drive Tour. This solution has been configured to accommodate a total of two Double Decker buses in four languages – English, Spanish, German and Mandarin. In addition to providing a fun and informative tour experience, the system also reduces driver training time and promotes safer driving.

Gray Line West, owned and operated by Armstrong Group (AG), offers both sightseeing and charter motorcoach operations in Victoria, British Columbia and Banff, Alberta.  The company operates a total of 90 motorcoaches and employs over 175 people.  In 2005, Princess Cruises honoured Gray Line West with the prestigious Shore Excursion of the Season Award for its Butchart and Butterfly Gardens Tour in Victoria. In May 2005, AG announced the acquisition of the Gray Line franchises, which now operates jointly as Gray Line West. AG also owns and operates Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, the acclaimed Rocky Mountaineer train and the Whistler Mountaineer train.
