IT’S A HOP, SKIP AND A JUMP TO SEE VICTORIA’S TOP ATTRACTIONS WITH GRAY LINE WEST
~New Hop-On Hop-Off tour allows guests to explore the city at their own pace ~

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (May 1, 2008) – Gray Line West Victoria is pleased to announce a new Hop-On Hop-off Attractions Loop Tour for the 2008 spring and summer season. The continuous loop tour is a convenient and flexible way to see Victoria with 12 stops at the city’s most popular attractions. Riding an authentic San Francisco-style Trolley or a British Double Decker bus, guests choose to hop on and off at various attractions or simply enjoy a quick and informative city tour. The tour runs from now until September 1, 2008 with departures every 30 minutes (45 minute frequency from April 1-May 31).

“The concept is simple. Buy one ticket and hop on and off as often as you like along the route,” says Raelene Miller, General Manager, Gray Line West Victoria.  “Tickets are valid for two consecutive days, allowing visitors time to explore the city and get a real taste of Victoria.”

The Hop-On Hop-Off Tour starts in front of the Royal London Wax Museum, on Belleville Street at 10am and leaves every 30-45 minutes thereafter. Pick-up and drop-off location highlights include Beacon Hill Park, Craigdarroch Castle, Oak Bay Village and Market Square. Tickets are valid for two consecutive days and cost $29 CDN for adults and $15 CDN for children. Reservations are not necessary as tickets can be purchased from the driver (cash only) or from sales agents located in the Fairmont Empress Hotel or in front of the Black Ball Ferry Terminal. Payments at these locations may be made with cash, credit card or traveller cheques (CDN and US).

Gray Line West, owned and operated by Armstrong Group (AG), offers both sightseeing and charter motorcoach operations in Victoria, British Columbia and Banff, Alberta.  The company operates a total of 90 motorcoaches and employs over 175 people.  In 2005, Princess Cruises honoured Gray Line West with the prestigious Shore Excursion of the Season Award for its Butchart and Butterfly Gardens Tour in Victoria.
